Simulation Pedestrian Flow Under Vertical Bottleneck Constraints: How Stair Configuration Affects Pedestrian Movement Efficiency

چکیده
As a result of the geometric constraints stairs, pedestrian movement features on stairways are different from level ambulation. Therefore, it is necessary for us to consider stairs' three-dimensional geometry when we try explore how stair configuration affects efficiency. Based fundamental previous single-file experiment investigated flow under various configurations with an improved agent-based model. Our simulated indicates that both inclinations and tread depth step sensitive dynamic stairs. Generally speaking, decreases increasing slope When stairs increased 5, 10, 15 20 degree, evacuation efficiency dropped 5.8%, 12.8%, 19.3% 28.4%. Besides, effect total time not changed monotonously. Scenarios 0.3m size present optimal Other scenarios differ 3% 27.9% in terms time.

Multi Exit Configuration of Mesoscopic Pedestrian Simulation
A mesoscopic approach to modeling pedestrian simulation with multiple exits is proposed in this paper. A floor field based on Qlearning Algorithm is used. Attractiveness of exits to pedestrian typically is based on shortest path. However, several factors may influence pedestrian choice of exits. Scenarios with multiple exits are presented and effect of Q-learning rewards system on navigation is...
متن کاملNatural movement: or, configuration and attraction in urban pedestrian movement
Existing theories relating patterns of pedestrian and vehicular movement to urban form characterise the problem in terms of flows to and from 'attractor' land uses. This paper contains evidence in support of a new 'configurational' paradigm in which a primary property of the form of the urban grid is to privilege certain spaces over others for through movement. In this way it is suggested that ...
متن کاملPedestrian Flow Simulation Validation and Verification Techniques
For the verification and validation of microscopic simulation models of pedestrian flow, we have performed experiments for different kind of facilities and sites where most conflicts and congestion happens e.g. corridors, narrow passages, and crosswalks. The validity of the model should compare the experimental conditions and simulation results with video recording carried out in the same condi...
متن کاملConfiguration Estimates Improve Pedestrian Finding
Fair discriminative pedestrian finders are now available. In fact, these pedestrian finders make most errors on pedestrians in configurations that are uncommon in the training data, for example, mounting a bicycle. This is undesirable. However, the human configuration can itself be estimated discriminatively using structure learning. We demonstrate a pedestrian finder which first finds the most...
متن کاملList of Parameters Influencing the Pedestrian Movement and Pedestrian Database
In this paper we present a list of factors influencing the pedestrian behavior in different situations and conditions. In crowd simulation input we must consider at least two simulation conditions. The first is the normal condition and the second is the emergency condition or panic situation. In panic situations most parameters will be changed and the time factor becomes very important. Both em...
